Profile

I am a PhD candidate in political science at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I work on European Union governance and socio-economic reform processes in EU Member States. I am in the final year of my PhD, finishing in June 2027.

My research is focused on understanding to what extent different configurations of domestic politics affect the Europeanization of social policy. I have conducted in-depth process tracing of labour market and pension reforms in Italy and Spain. I have focused on the “domestic effects” of the European Semester, the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the National Recovery and Resilience Plans, the newly reformed SGP and the National Medium-term Fiscal-structural Plans.
